Birth defects in World wide
Posted in 2017

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Every year an estimated 8 million children — about 6 percent of total births worldwide — are born with a serious birth defect of genetic or partially genetic origin, according to a new report from the March of Dimes.
Additionally, hundreds of thousands more are born with serious birth defects of post-conception origin due to maternal exposure to environmental agents, such as alcohol, rubella, and syphilis, says the March of Dimes Global Report on Birth Defects: The Hidden Toll of Dying and Disabled Children.
The report reveals that at least 3.3 million children less than 5 years of age die annually because of serious birth defects, defined as any serious abnormality of structure or function. An estimated 3.2 million of those who survive may be mentally and physically disabled for life.
Birth defects are a global problem, but their impact is particularly severe in middle- and low-income countries where more than 94 percent of births with serious defects and 95 percent of the deaths of these children occur, the report finds. Both high prevalence rates and larger numbers of births contribute to the differences between low- and middle-income countries and those with higher incomes
Every couple wishes to have Healthy child...Only after delivery they see their child...if the child is defective they will feel very sad which I cannot express...As far as my research I found 1. due to unhealthy food 2. unhealthy life style. Since last 10 years I explained cause of defective births with pictures but I am receiving messages and my mails to why the child is defective. Please see and take care to prevent such births...I wish U to have Healthy and Brilliant child.....
My advise
1....    A birth defect is a significant abnormality of appearance, structure, or function that is present at birth. Two percent to three percent of live-born infants show one or more significant defects at birth. A birth defect can be visibly obvious, an internal defect, or a chemical imbalance within the body...  This number increases to approximately 5% by 1 year of age due to the discovery of defects that were not obvious at birth.
2...   A birth defect can be visibly obvious, an internal defect, or a chemical imbalance within the body:  a... An example of a visibly obvious defect could be the absence of an arm or a hemangioma (blood vessel birthmark) on the surface of the skin.  b...  An internal defect could be a malformed kidney or a ventricular septal defect (a hole between the lower chambers of the heart).  c....An example of a chemical imbalance would be phenylketonuria (a defect in a chemical reaction of the body that results in severe mental retardation).
3..... An individual can have a single birth defect such as cleft lip (a gap in the upper lip) or multiple birth defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate (a hole in the roof of the mouth) together, or even cleft lip and cleft palate with associated birth defects of the brain, heart, and kidneys.
4...   Not all birth defects are detectable at birth. Some, such as sickle cell anemia  (a defect in red blood cells that causes severe anemia  and bone pain) might not become apparent until the child is several months old. A malformed kidney might take years to be discovered.
5....  Some birth defects might remain silent for many years. For example, Huntington disease is an inherited condition in which affected persons live normal lives for decades. Then, during middle age, they develop dementia and loss of control of their arms and legs.
6...  Everyone know about biology subject... It is divided into two parts 1.. Zoology  and  2.  Botany..   Zoology is the subject of all animals including us as our body parts and functions are similar to animal.  There is no special subjects for us.
7...  Have you seen any animal giving birth to defective child?  the answer will be 'NO'   because they follow healthy habits, healthy food according their body structure.   We don't follow healthy food, healthy habits due to which we are giving birth to defective child..
8...  I advise every couple to follow healthy food, healthy habits and give birth to Healthy child.
