Causes of Intellectual disability

Causes of Intellectual disability Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Causes of Intellectual disability Posted in 2014 Anytime something interferes with normal brain development, intellectual disability can result. However, a specific cause for intellectual disability can only be pinpointed about a third of the time. The most common causes of intellectual disability are: Genetic conditions. These include things like Down syndrome and fragile X syndrome. Problems during pregnancy. Things that can inter fere with fetal brain development include alcohol or drug use, malnutrition, certain infections, or preeclampsia. Problems during childbirth. Intellectual disability may result if a baby is deprived of oxygen during childbirth or born extremely premature. Illness or injury. Infections like meningitis, whooping cough, or the measles can lead to intellectual disability. Severe head injury, near-drowning, extreme malnutrition,

Great impact on unborn child's brain Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Great impact on unborn child's brain Posted in 2015 Great impact on unborn child's brain when mother seeing horror film Pregnant women planning a night at the cinema might want to steer clear of tear-jerkers. Scientists have discovered that unborn babies respond to their mother's mood while she is watching a movie - and become quiet and still if the film is sad. In a bizarre experiment, foetuses threw their arms around when their mothers watched a feel-good clip from The Sound of Music - but became subdued during  a sad scene from The Champ. Researchers have no idea how the babies pick up on their mothers' emotions, but suspect that the rush of hormones triggered by an emotional film are transmitted indirectly to the foetus. The findings, reported today in New Scientist magazine, add to the evidence that a pregnant mother's

One theory suggests that the reason your baby's hearing is so well-developed in the womb is to help her start to bond with you even before she's born  Father can bond with unborn baby You can also join your partner in feeling some of your baby's movements. Ask her to tell you when he's lively, and place your hand on her belly so you can feel your baby kicking. ... Talk to your baby, tell him everything the two of you will do together when he is older. Recurring infections

Recurring infections Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Recurring infections Posted in 2014 It is a myth that antibiotics are responsible for any decline in infectious disease. While  antibiotics are helpful for many infections, they have not resulted in   the elimination of infectious diseases by themselves.  In the book  Beyond Antibiotics , authors use graphs to trace the incidence of the major infectious diseases from 1900 to 1973.  All diseases researched   were in decline for several decades before the introduction of antibiotics or vaccines.   After reviewing the data, researchers John McKinlay and Sonja McKinlay concluded that  “.. at most, 3.5% of the total decline in mortality since 1900 could be ascribed to medical measures introduced for the diseases considered here.”   Improved nutrition and improved sanitation and hygiene were far more important than the ‘wonder drugs’ or vaccines to reduce these disea

Antibiotics ...Microbiome Damage

Antibiotics ...Microbiome Damage Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Antibiotics ...Microbiome Damage Posted in 2014 We’re hearing a lot about the importance of the microbiome these days – and we’re going to continue to hear more as research into this fascinating intersection between our lives and the world of the microorganisms that live in, on, and around us evolves. What we do know already is that healthy communities of flora in our gut help regulate everything from our weight, mood and mental health to our immunity and hormones. A healthy micobiome contributes to how many calories we extract from our food – with too little of the good kind predisposing us to being fatter – and determines how well we detoxify excess hormones we produce due to dietary imbalances or that we pick up from environmental exposures. One of the most certain ways to do damage to your gut flora, and along with it your health, is take antibio

Misuse of Antibiotics

Misuse of Antibiotics Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Misuse of Antibiotics Posted in 2014 Antibiotic misuse is a problem for more than just to our gut flora. We are experiencing a major global health crisis due to antibiotic resistance — the antibiotics we rely on for serious and life-threatening diseases no longer work because we’ve used them so much that the bugs we are treating have outsmarted us and can withstand exposure to them. We now have antibiotic resistant super bugs and increasingly, no effective treatments for many of them! At least 2 million people get infected with antibiotic-resistant bacteria each year, resulting in at least 23,000 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There are also immediate risks to taking antibiotics. They can cause allergic reactions, additional antibiotic resistant infections on top of whatever you are being treated for, and can cause a de

Colds, Cough, Flu n Bronchitis  should not be treated with antibiotics Posted in 2017 Viral infections that should not be treated with antibiotics include: Colds Flu Most coughs and bronchitis Sore throats (except for those resulting from strep throat) Some ear infections WHAT IS AN ANTIBIOTIC? Antibiotics, also known as antimicrobial  drugs, are drugs that fight infections caused by bacteria. Alexander Fleming discovered the first antibiotic, penicillin, in 1927. After the first use of antibiotics in the 1940s, they transformed medical care and dramatically reduced illness and death  from infectious diseases. The term "antibiotic" originally referred to a natural compound produced by a fungus or another microorganism that kills bacteria which cause disease in humans o

Protect your health

Protect your health Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Protect your health Posted in 2017 You are taking the first step to reducing your risk of getting antibiotic-resistant infections. It is important to understand that, although they are very useful drugs, antibiotics designed for bacterial infections are not useful for viral infections such as a cold, cough, or the flu. Some useful tips to remember are: Talk with your healthcare provider about antibiotic resistance: - Ask whether an antibiotic is likely to be beneficial for your illness - Ask what else you can do to feel better sooner Do not take an antibiotic for a  viral infection   like a cold or the flu. Do not save some of your antibiotic for the next time you get sick. Discard any leftover medication   once you have completed your prescribed course of treatment. Take an antibiotic exactly as the healthcare provider tells you. Do not skip doses. Complete

Know about antibiotics effects on your body Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Know about antibiotics effects on your body Posted in 2017 If you depend on antibiotics for each and every small infection please read the following Disease-causing bacteria can cause illness. Viruses can also cause illness. Antibiotics are drugs used to treat  bacterial   infections.   Viral  infections do not respond to antibiotic treatment. Antibiotics have been used for a long time and are frequently prescribed. Because of this widespread use, the infectious bacteria the antibiotics were designed target have adapted and changed, making the drugs less effective. This is antibiotic resistance. Antibiotics are not effective against viral infections such as the common cold, most sore   throats, and the flu. Using antibiotics when they are not needed contributes to antibiotic resistance   and unwanted side effects. The more antibiotics

Your anemia risk to your child

Your anemia risk to your child Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Your anemia risk to your child Posted in 2013 A mild iron deficiency shouldn't affect your baby while you're pregnant. But research also suggests that mild iron-deficiency anemia that goes untreated and becomes more severe during pregnancy – especially in the first two trimesters – is linked to an increased risk of a baby being born with a low birth weight. Having severe iron-deficiency anemia may even increase the risk of stillbirth  and newborn death. How to have Healthy child? Every couple should think about to have Healthy child..When your bodies contain all required Nutrients then only you should plan for a child otherwise the child will be defective. It is the most important point to consider..I have seen many defective children and researched the cause I found some nutrients are not sufficient in their bodies due to which the child is defective

Semen Analysis

Semen Analysis Brought to U.... http://successgain.us     and    http://successgain.info My memories Semen Analysis Posted in 2014 This is a very simple and important test and should be done early in the evaluation process. Sometimes the test should be done 2, or even 3 times to get an accurate reflection of the numbers and their variation over time. The most important parameters in a semen analysis are: Concentration (often called "count") - how many sperm are in each ml of semen? Motility - what percent of them are swimming  forward? Morphology - what percent of them are normally shaped? Cutoff values for normal vary somewhat, depending on the lab and the interpreter. The World Health Organization's 5th edition of "normal semen analysis" values are shown below Semen Analysis Parameter Normal Values Volume 1.5 ml or more pH > or equal to 7.2 Sperm concentration 15,000,000/ml or more Total motility 40% or more Progressive motility 32% or more M
