Thyroid Problems -- Causes many health problems including Infertility
Through the hormones it produces, the thyroid gland influences almost all of the metabolic processes in your body. Thyroid disorders can range from a small, harmless goiter (enlarged gland) that needs no treatment to life-threatening cancer. The most common thyroid problems involve abnormal production of thyroid hormones. Too much thyroid hormone results in a condition known as hyperthyroidism. Insufficient hormone production leads to hypothyroidism.
Although the effects can be unpleasant or uncomfortable, most thyroid problems can be managed well if properly diagnosed and treated.
What Causes Thyroid Problems?
All types of hyperthyroidism are due to an overproduction of thyroid hormones, but the condition can occur in several ways:
Graves' disease: The production of too much thyroid hormone.
Toxic adenomas: Nodules develop in the thyroid gland and begin to secrete thyroid hormones, upsetting the body's chemical balance; some goiters may contain several of these nodules.
Subacute thyroiditis: Inflammation of the thyroid that causes the gland to "leak" excess hormones, resulting in temporary hyperthyroidism that generally lasts a few weeks but may persist for months.
Pituitary gland malfunctions or cancerous growths in the thyroid gland: Although rare, hyperthyroidism can also develop from these causes
Causes of Thyroid ::When any person's life style and food habits are not HEALTHY they will suffer from Thyroid.
If parents suffer before pregnancy then the child may born with Thyroid Problem and many parts of the body will be week.
The couple are advised do not plan for pregnancy if you are suffering from Thyroid. Control Thyroid and plan for a HEALTHY CHILD.
My advise
1.....  Low levels of thyroid hormone can interfere with the release of an egg from your ovary (ovulation), which impairs fertility.
2.... For women, treating hypothyroidism is an important part of any effort to correct infertility. If infertility remains after hypothyroidism has been corrected, other interventions to treat infertility may be needed.
3...  When your thyroid gland isn’t making enough thyroid hormone, it can have a serious effect on every organ in your body — including your reproductive system.
4...  This means hypothyroidism may make it difficult to conceive if you’re planning on having children. A study published in August 2015 in the Journal of Pregnancy found that women with hypothyroidism were less likely to become pregnant — and more likely to take longer to become pregnant — than women without the condition.
5....  our thyroid produces thyroid hormone, which controls many activities in your body, including how fast you burn calories and how fast your heart beats. Diseases of the thyroid cause it to make either too much or too little of the hormone. Depending on how much or how little hormone your thyroid makes, you may often feel restless or tired, or you may lose or gain weight. Women are more likely than men to have thyroid diseases, especially right after pregnancy and after menopause.
6....  Problems with your menstrual period. Your thyroid helps control your menstrual cycle. Too much or too little thyroid hormone can make your periods very light, heavy, or irregular. Thyroid disease also can cause your periods to stop for several months or longer, a condition called amenorrhea. If your body's immune system causes thyroid disease, other glands, including your ovaries, may be involved. This can lead to early menopause (before age 40).
7....   Problems getting pregnant. When thyroid disease affects the menstrual cycle, it also affects ovulation. This can make it harder for you to get pregnant
8.....  .Problems during pregnancy. Thyroid problems during pregnancy can cause health problems for the mother and the baby.
9....    These thyroid diseases affect more women than men:
a....     Disorders that cause hypothyroidism
b.....     Disorders that cause hyperthyroidism
c....      Thyroid cancer
10....    If conceived there is chance that your child may suffer from Bones  n other health problems.
11...  I advise every woman to follow healthy food before conceiving to normalize thyroid gland
